Zoological and Botanical Garden of Pilsen – Exposition of Lions

The successful implementation of the aeration of the moat in the area of the newly reconstructed chimpanzee exhibition at the Pilsen Zoo is followed by another project in the lion exhibit area.

The water area in the lion enclosure needed to be oxygenated for several reasons.

One of them is the additional planting of beautiful Koi carp and grass carp.

The aeration system, consisting of 6 ballasted aeration diffusers 4m long, and one KUBÍČEK blower unit in a stainless steel noise enclosure, provides oxygenation while mixing the water in the ditch.

A specific requirement for this implementation was to achieve the lowest possible noise level for the plant, which is located next to the visitor route. The air distribution and control valves are hidden below the water surface and the ballast aeration elements were placed on the bottom without the need for anchoring.
