High-quality belt screens with automatic debris removal from IN-EKO are an essential component of outdoor fish farming. Almost anyone working at fish holding facilities or flow-through farms has encountered the problem of clogged inlet channels and the endless task of clearing grates of leaves, branches, ice chunks, and other debris. It is a physically demanding and time-consuming chore that requires constant attention, especially during periods of heavy leaf fall. Furthermore, holding ponds and concrete tanks require monitoring day and night—managing water levels (to prevent overflowing or draining) and ensuring the distribution of fresh, oxygenated water—which places a significant burden on staff.

Belt screens developed and manufactured by the Czech company IN-EKO Team are successfully used in fish farming systems; they lift and clear debris from the inlet water, thereby preventing potential operational issues. The screen is simply installed in the inlet channel that distributes water to all the fish ponds; the belt captures debris larger than the screen openings and conveys it above the water level to the discharge head, where it is swept off and drops into a collection hopper. Consequently, the operator only needs to empty the waste bin, cart, or container, rather than manually raking debris from the inlet grate. Screens are classified based on opening size into coarse (10–100 mm) and fine (1–10 mm) types. The inclination angle—typically 60° or 75°, or a fully custom specification—is selected based on available space and the required screening capacity.
