Microfiltration and filtration

IN-EKO microscreen filters significantly improve the quality of treated water.

They are an indispensable component of intensive aquaculture operations (recirculating, flow-through, and semi-flow-through systems, hatcheries, etc.). They ensure a high degree of mechanical filtration for fine suspended particles (sludge, excrement, fish waste, plankton, parasites, etc.).

Manufactured by the Czech company IN-EKO Team, these filters are made of high-quality AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel. They offer a large filtration surface area thanks to the patented CLI-CLO curved segment system, low rinse-water consumption ensured by integrated nozzles, and high filtration efficiency provided by PES mesh available in ratings from 10 to 500 micrometers.

The absence of high-quality microscreen filtration in recirculating systems causes a range of problems: clogging of biofiltration elements; reduced nitrification processes leading to increased concentrations of ammonia nitrogen and nitrites; water turbidity; and massive accumulation of sludge and other residues within the system, resulting in elevated BOD and COD levels. In hatcheries, these filters can be used to treat intake water, removing impurities, parasites, sludge (turbidity), algae, and cyanobacteria—all of which negatively impact the development and survival of fish eggs and fry. They also filter recirculating hatchery water to remove egg casings, foam, dead fish larvae, and starter feeds (dry feed, plankton, Artemia, etc.).
