Municipal fishery at Košináře – Pilsen

At the end of November 2023, we can finally present another interesting project that we have implemented directly for the city of Pilsen as part of our Fishery programme.

Specifically for the Public Estate Administration of the City of Pilsen.

Here, they decided to revive the tradition of urban fishing, which dates back to the Middle Ages, when the then councillors bought land near the village of Bolevec and established several ponds there. In the 1970s, the tradition of urban fishing in Plzeň gradually disappeared. Nowadays, however, it is experiencing a renaissance and we are glad that we could be there.

We have delivered 3 new blower units to the ponds below Košinář – 2 pcs of 3D19S-050E blowers in fixed version and 1 pc of 3D19S-050E blower in portable version with 230V motor, and 20 pcs of ballasted aeration fine bubble diffusers of different lengths.

The portable unit will be used in the summer months for pond aeration directly at the fishery and also for auxiliary aeration during pond harvesting.

There is also a shop on the fishery premises, which is always open from April to October and then, of course, before Christmas.
