University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice – Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters – Fishery Vodňany

We equipped the fish tanks in Vodňany, which are mainly used to store fish after spring and autumn catches, with a new aeration system. It consists of a KUBÍČEK ROOTs blower type 3D28A-080K in a noise-reducing cover for indoor installation, with a 3 kW motor (however, the blower’s power consumption is only 1.64 kW), which provides sufficient air for three fish tanks, as well as stainless steel piping and 12 aeration load elements equipped with KUBÍČEK polyurethane fine-bubble membranes.

Compared to other tank equipment options, such as floating aerators, our system offers at least 50% savings in electricity consumption with a much higher oxygen intake.

At the same time, our system for intensifying fish tanks contributes to reducing water consumption with higher stocking capacity.

One of the main objectives of the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Conservation, is to ensure the development of fisheries, aquaculture and to provide opportunities for long-term sustainable use of the environment. That is why it is engaged in similar projects aimed at reducing electricity consumption in fish farming.
