RAS – ZD Hrotovice

At the beginning of December 2023 we were approached by the Agricultural co-operative Hrotovice for help with solving the problem of supplying pressurized air for their RAS fish breeding system. The existing technology was served by inappropriately chosen and often malfunctioning side channel blowers.

In comparison, the ROOTS blowers manufactured by KUBÍČEK, are up to 50% more efficient, significantly quieter and with a much longer lifetime.

After the inspection of the whole plant and the evaluation of the existing conditions, we designed the type and parameters of the new unit, which will serve the problematic aeration of the biofilters in the first phase.

The unit is located outdoors in a covered shed near the cow house. Noise reduction was therefore another important aspect in the design of the new blower unit.

The selected model 3D19S-050E with stainless steel acoustic cover is equipped with a 2.2 kW electric motor in efficiency class IE3 and meets all the requirements for a modern, safe and yet easy to operate device.

The production and delivery of the unit was carried out in record time, within two weeks from the order.

RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) Hrotovice specializes in breeding African catfish.

After installation and commissioning, the difference in the water parameters behind the biofilters was immediately noticeable and the whole fish farming process was stabilised.

The official handover with inspection of the results of our installation took place in mid-January 2024.
