IN-EKO microscreen drum filter for RAS Blatná

Blatenská ryba is a brand and at the same time a company that specializes in sustainable fish farming and production in the Blatná region of South Bohemia. Traditionally, they breed carp in ponds, but in the modern Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) they also breed zander and trout. They are dedicated not only to fish breeding, but also to their further processing. The quality of Blaten fish is well known far beyond the borders of our country.

In the first phase we supplied KUBÍČEK blowers for this RAS system, and now was the right time for the IN-EKO TEAM and their micro mesh drum filter:

The customer previously used a drum filter with stainless steel fabric from another manufacturer for the RAS, but was not satisfied due to insufficient filtration, vibration, frequent breakdowns and high consumption of rinse water. Especially for sensitive pike perch, water quality is critical – especially its NH4, NO2 content and sufficient oxygen.

We were able to help the customer with these shortcomings with our Microscreen drum filter with a 60 µm PES filter fabric. By separating solid particles (feed, excrement, sludge), the filter significantly reduces the content of ammonia (NH4, respectively NH3) and nitrites (NO2) in the water, reduces BOD, which fundamentally improves the conditions for rearing. A properly selected filter also reduces the cost of rinsing water consumption, energy and minimizes the failure rate of the equipment.

We already have feedback from the customer today. Blatenská ryba has never had such clean water as with the IN-EKO TEAM filter!
