World Water Day (2025)

22nd of March is an important day not only for all water managers, but in fact for everyone on the planet, as it is WORLD WATER DAY.

The theme of World Water Day 2025 is ‘Glacier Preservation’.

Glaciers are critical to life – their meltwater is essential for drinking water, agriculture, industry, clean energy production and healthy ecosystems. Rapidly melting glaciers are causing uncertainty to water flows, with profound impacts on people and the planet. Global reductions in carbon emissions and local strategies to adapt to shrinking glaciers are essential. This World Water Day, we must work together to put glacier preservation at the core of our plans to tackle climate change and the global water crisis.

That is why we at KUBÍČEK VHS, s.r.o., where the majority of our production goes into water management, welcomed an educational excursion by pupils of the primary school in Velké Losiny.

We prepared for them a traditional tour through the company, combined with a presentation of our products and services related to water management. At the end, as always, there was a fun quiz for small prizes.

We are proud to have been able to pass on our knowledge and experience not only about the water cycle on Earth.

Everyone knows that without water there is no life and therefore we have to take very good care of this resource, as the supply of fresh water is not unlimited and combined with the idea that we are only borrowing all our natural resources from our children, it is important to show them how we treat water and how they should continue to treat it.

World water day
