Fishermen Skuhrov – Czech Fishing Union

During the summer, we were approached by the local branch of the Czech Fishing Union in Skuhrov nad Bělou for help with designing an effective yet energy-efficient aeration system for the ponds in their fishing grounds.

Ponds are specific, meaning that each one is different, so it is not always possible to design the same system where the aeration elements are placed on the bottom or suspended from a pier, for example.

“And because there is no such thing as a small or uninteresting project, we listened to their request.”

We calculated and designed the use of four independent small membrane blowers (each with a maximum power consumption of only 50 W), each serving one of the four KUBÍČEK ballasted aeration diffusers.

The elements are equipped with a robust fine-bubble EPDM aeration membrane, and thanks to the design of the supports, they can either be suspended on floats or placed on the bottom.

As is the case almost everywhere, the ponds here suffer from almost non-existent inflow and low levels of dissolved oxygen in the summer. However, our equipment ensured sufficient oxygenation of the water throughout the entire period, making it possible to supplement feeding during the summer months.

The main goal of MO Skuhrov is to protect nature, water purity, and the environment, to participate in the extracurricular education of children and young people in the field of fishing and fishing sports, and to develop and popularize fishing sports among all age groups.

And we are glad that we could contribute at least a little bit to the cause.
